It’s called Pixlr.

What is Pixlr?

Pixlr is a online image editor. You simply upload your images to the Pixlr web site and then edit them in your browser.

Wow. Double Wow. It’s like having Photoshop, minus a few hundred megabytes and several hundred dollars.

So, who needs Pixlr?

Pixlr is built for non-professionals, web users that have basic editing needs. People like you and me that need to re-touch or re-size or re-format. You know, basics. It is a tool for editing web images to be posted on blogs, news-sites, social networks like Facebook, Bebo, image sites like Flikr, Photobucket etc.

Pixlr is brand-new, yet they’ve already released some new plug-ins and filters. One, called the Art Poster Filter, is completely unique.

From their blog, on August 17th: “So it’s sunday afternoon in Sweden and tomorrow I will let a few know about pixlr. I wonder what they will say about the result of from a years work and thousands of lines of code? ”

I know what I’ll say… “Bravo!”
